Our good friends Rebecca and Chris welcomed a beautiful baby girl into their lives March 18. Evan (one of Sophie’s good pals) is going to be a great big brother.

Baby Rees is due any time now. I can’t wait to be an aunt, I can’t wait for my sister to be a mom and I can’t wait for my children to meet their cousin.
According to NASA, Saturday, “a full Moon of rare size and beauty will rise in the east at sunset. It’s a super ‘perigee moon’—the biggest in almost 20 years.”
In addition to my sister I have two very close friends past due with their babies—they, too, are waiting.
Waiting.
Some people believe more babies are born when there’s a full moon. I hope this is true. I hope this Saturday brings a big, beautiful moon and big, beautiful babies.

So many babies! Our friends Javan and Megan welcomed a beautiful baby boy to this world November 21. We finally got to meet him in person the same day we met Jackson. We even attempted a picture with all four children! Congratulations, Megan and Javan. We’re so happy for you!
Our friends Ryan and Caryn welcomed a beautiful baby boy to this world December 14. Late January we finally got over to their house to meet him. Sophie, in particular, loved this visit as Ryan fed her candy the entire time. 🙂 Congratulations, Ryan and Caryn!

The food was delicious. Sophie especially liked the pickled watermelon and sparkling lemonade. I loved the look on her face when the fizzy drink touched her lips—I wish I had filmed it.
