Oh, My.

Last night, when I was nursing Sophie one last time before her bedtime, she spit up. Lately she’s been spitting up small amounts fairly frequently. A trip to the doctor and a check of her weight (27 ounces gained in 22 days) confirmed she was OK. But last night … I had no idea so much could come from someone so little! It was everywhere—all over her pajamas, the rocking chair, my shorts, my tank top, and, somehow, my underwear. Be thankful I don’t have a picture. I thought surely she’d wake up in a few hours starving. But then, she slept from 12:30am to 6:30am. Go figure.

A couple weekends ago, when Kyle was in town, Sophie went to her first birthday party. Amanda, my cousin’s daughter, turned three. Here she’s blowing out her birthday candles.
